Daring Faith Steps Out

I. By Faith...
"By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going" (Hebrews 11:8 ESV).
II. Step OUT
- Ur, your COMFORT ZONE zone
- "Now the Lord said to Abram, 'Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you'" (Genesis 12:1 ESV).
- God is calling you out of your comfort zone.
- "Arise and go to Nineveh," He said to Jonah.
- "Go back to Egypt and tell Pharaoh to let My people go," He instructed Moses.
- You step out on a WORD.
- "Faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word [rhema] of Christ" (Romans 10:17 ESV).
- Never step out without a word from God: "Abraham obeyed when he was called" (Hebrews 11:8 ESV).
- Faith is not foolishness or presumption. It is acting on the Word of God, like Jesus did when Satan tempted Him on the pinnacle of the temple.
- Step out on a word: "Abraham obeyed when he was called."
III. Step AROUND
- Haran, your DETOUR
- "They went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there" (Genesis 11:31 ESV).
- "You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?" (Galatians 5:7 ESV).
- "Stepping out" does not mean you will automatically be "stepping in." You may find yourself in a season of "stepping around."
IV. Step IN
- Canaan, your DESTINY
- "And after his father died, God removed him from there into this land in which you are now living" (Acts 7:4 ESV).
- Living the dream
