Four Spiritual Toxins We Must Get Out:

1. Self-Deception has to go.

• Matthew 26:34–35 NLT: "34 Jesus replied, 'I tell you the truth, Peter-this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.' 35 'No!' Peter insisted. 'Even if I have to die with you, I will never deny you!' And all the other disciples vowed the same."
• Solution: ASK GOD TO SHOW YOU.

2. SIN has to go.

• KNOWN sin-Romans 13:12–14 NLT: "12 The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. 13 Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don't participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. 14 Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don't let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires."
• UNKNOWN sin-Psalm 19:12 NLT: "How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults."
• HIDDEN sin-Psalm 90:8 NLT: "You spread out our sins before you-our secret sins-and you see them all."
  
  • Proverbs 28:13 NLT: "People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy."
• Solution: REPENT TO GOD; CONFESS TO BELIEVERS.

3. GUILT has to go.

• Guilt simply is the fact that you did wrong and the feeling of having done wrong.
• Psalm 51:2 NLT: "Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin."
• Solution: TRULY RECEIVE FORGIVENESS.

4. SHAME has to go.

• Shame is the embarrassment you feel from your guilt.
• Isaiah 54:4 NLT: "Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don't be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you. You will no longer remember the shame of your youth and the sorrows of widowhood."
• Solution: TRULY RECEIVE AFFIRMATION.
