The cloud (Numbers 9:15-23)

Three ways the cloud directed Israel

• The WITNESS
• The VOICE
• The PROPHET
  • "And he said, ‘Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream'" (Numbers 12:6 ESV).

Ears to hear

• "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him" 
(Psalm 37:7 ESV).
• GOD ONLY SPEAKS IN THE CALM.
  • "The Lord is my shepherd... . He leads me by still waters" (Psalm 23:1, 2 ESV).
  • Elijah's "still, small voice" (1 Kings 19:12 NKJV)

The mind of the FLESH (Romans 8:6)

• Spirit, soul, and body
  • "The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord"
 (Proverbs 20:27 ESV).
  • "As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God" (Romans 8:14 NKJV).
