The Prophets (Isaiah-Malachi) cover 17 books, 250 chapters, and make up 21 percent of the Bible.

There are two different kinds of prophecy in Scripture:

  1. Predictive: foretelling the future
  2. Didactic: dealing with moral, ethical, or theological truths

Facts about Isaiah:

  • Isaiah is dated nearly 700 years (701-681 BC) before Christ.
  • Jesus fulfilled 129 of Isaiah's prophecies alone!

Isaiah 6:8 NLT: "Then I heard the Lord asking, 'Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?' I said, 'Here I am. Send me.'
