Three Mentalities of a Tabernacle Builder

1. God WANTS to be with His people.

Exodus 25:8-9 NLT: "8 Have the people of Israel build me a holy sanctuary so I can live among them. 9 You must build this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you."

2. We must have God WITH us.

Exodus 33:15-16 NLT: "15 Then Moses said, 'If you don't personally go with us, don't make us leave this place. 16 How will anyone know that you look favorably on me-on me and on your people-if you don't go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.'"

Matthew 18:20 NLT: "For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them."

3. God is attracted to RIGHT HEARTS.

  • HUNGRY heart
  • HUMBLE heart
    • Numbers 12:3 NLT: "(Now Moses was very humble-more humble than any other person on earth.)"
    • Numbers 16:3-4 NLT: "3 They united against Moses and Aaron and said, 'You have gone too far! The whole community of Israel has been set apart by the Lord, and he is with all of us. What right do you have to act as though you are greater than the rest of the Lord's people?' 4 When Moses heard what they were saying, he fell face down on the ground."
  • HONEST heart
    • Psalm 51:17 NLT: "The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God."
  • HONORING heart
    • Aware of His presence
    • Acknowledging His presence
    • Reverencing His presence
    • Worshiping in His presence

Exodus 40:33-35 NLT: "33 Then he hung the curtains forming the courtyard around the Tabernacle and the altar. And he set up the curtain at the entrance of the courtyard. So at last Moses finished the work. 34 Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. 35 Moses could no longer enter the Tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle."
