Matthew 10:5–8, 12 (NLT) — 5 Jesus sent out the twelve apostles with these instructions: “Don’t go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans, 6 but only to the people of Israel—God’s lost sheep. 7 Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received! 12 When you enter the home, give it your blessing.

1. Your mission always includes GO.

“Jesus sent out the twelve apostles.”

  • “Go into all the world.”
  • “Ye men of Galilee, why do you stand here gazing into Heaven?”

2. Your mission is specifically designed for you.

“Don’t go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans.”

  • Your assignment has a timing.
  • Your assignment is a place that only you can reach.

3. Your mission is to proclaim.

“Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

  • Your mission is going to require your mouth to speak.
  • Isaiah 6:8 (NLT) — 8 Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”

4. Your mission is to rescue.

“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy,
and cast out demons.”

  • Rescue from sin

I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.”

5. Your mission is to bless.

“Give as freely as you have received!”

  • Leave a trail of goodness and blessing.
