2 Corinthians 5:9-10 NLT - 9 So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him. 10 For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

1. Pleasing ALPHA is all that matters.

• Matthew 10:28 NLT - Don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
• God is the only creator and judge of eternal souls, and He is also the only Savior of them.
• Matthew 10:29-31 NLT - 29 What is the price of two sparrows-one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. 30 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. 31 So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.

2. Jesus PLEASED ALPHA perfectly.

• He was in perfect alignment!
• Matthew 3:17 NIV - And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
• John 8:29 NIV - The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.
• We have a perfect model of how to please God.
• The word for Jesus is ALIGNMENT.
  • His lifestyle was in alignment: "Yet without sin."
  • His agenda was in alignment: "Not My will but Thine."
  • His stewardship was in alignment: "I have authority to lay My life down and take it up again; this is what My Father commanded."
  • His actions were in alignment: "I always do what pleases Him."
• The first step to pleasing God is found in Christ!

3. We please ALPHA when we are in ALIGNMENT.

• God made us to be His image-bearers, His stewards.
• Independence and autonomy will never please God.
• Most of the world is autonomous in:
  • Lifestyle - Be whoever you want to be.
  • Agenda - You decide your future.
  • Stewardship - Use your time, talent, and treasure however you see fit.
  • Action - Do whatever you want to do.
• We need to move under!
  • Lifestyle needs to be BIBLICAL: 1 Thessalonians 4:1 NLT - Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.
  • Agenda needs to be KINGDOM: Matthew 6:33 NLT - Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
  • Stewardship needs to be ACCOUNTABLE.
  • Action needs to be OBEDIENT: Hebrews 13:21 NLT - May he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.
