Acts 2:1-4 (NLT) - 1 On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. 2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

God TO us - We have a promise.

• He is surely for YOU. Don't think that some people can know Him and others can't. He is available to everyone!
  • When the tongues of fire came, they sat on EVERYONE'S head.
• Acts 1:4-5 (NLT) - 4 Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, "Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. 5 John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
• Luke 11:11-13 (NLT) - 11 "You fathers-if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? 12 Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! 13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him."

Two keys to receive

• Believe God's promise is for you.
• Invite Him into your life.

God IN us - We have a companion.

• 1 Corinthians 6:19 (NLT) - Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself.
• What does He do in us?
  • He works in us. - His job is to make within us a holy spirit.
  • He is our companion. - If you are experiencing loneliness, you are not tapping into the power of the Spirit.
  • He teaches us.

Two keys to enjoying His presence in your life

• Honor Him.
• Surrender to Him.

God THROUGH us - We have a mission.

• Acts 1:8 (NLT) - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere-in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
• He wants us to GO.
• He wants us to SPEAK.
• He wants us to DEMONSTRATE.

Two keys to seeing Him work through you

• Follow Him.
• Have courage to step out.
