1 Corinthians 3:12-15 NLT - 12 Anyone who builds on that foundation [Christ] may use a variety of materials-gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. 13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. 14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. 15 But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.

Things that will last forever:

1. SOULS last forever.

• I can become a witness.
• I can pray for souls to be saved.
• I can give to see souls won.

Daniel 12:3 NLT - Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.

John 4:36 NLT - The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike!

2. Genuine FAITH lasts forever.

• You are meant to be shaken off your faith. It is the goal and strategy of the enemy to SHAKE YOU! "Peter, Satan has desired to sift you as wheat."
• What level of tenacity do you have?
  • Can you make it through loss?
  • Can you make it through suffering?
  • Can you make it through temptations?
  • Can you make it through hurt?
• If your faith endures, so do you!

1 Peter 1:7 NLT - These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold-though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

3. LOVE lasts forever.

• Love looks for a way to give
• Love looks for a way to serve
• Love looks for a way to sacrifice

Matthew 10:42 NLT - And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.

Proverbs 19:17 NLT - If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord-and he will repay you!

Hebrews 6:10 NLT - For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

4. Pure MOTIVES last forever.

• In eternity, it’s as much about the WHY as the WHAT!
  • We never do anything to receive praise from other people.
  • We never do anything to make ourselves feel as if we are better than someone else.
  • We never do anything to achieve a higher position.
  • We never do anything out of obligation.
• Motives to give will be celebrated!

1 Corinthians 4:5 NLT - So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time-before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.
