Scripture: The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. (Psalm 23:1-2 NLT)
Rhythms of PROSPERITY
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (3 John 2 NKJV)
Defeat mammon
You cannot serve both God and money. (Matthew 6:24 NIV)
MINIMIZE your stuff
That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life-whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. (Matthew 6:25 NLT)
Build in margin.
- Get rid of bad debt, such as credit cards, student loans.
- Live on a budget.
- Sixty-one percent of Americans don't have a budget.
- A budget is not a financial diet, but a smart plan for your financial future.
- Live BELOW your means. Do you spend more than 100 percent of your income?
Rhythms of productivity
1. DAILY rhythms
Time is measured in days. Day was the first thing God created. It is the building block of creation.
- Control your evening, control your morning!
- The Jewish day begins at 6pm, not at midnight.
- See Goodnight Formula in suggested resources below.
- Early morning - What you do first determines what you do best. The first 15 minutes of your day are super important.
- Afternoon - This is the chaos zone. Interruptions, distractions, and sleepiness can all thrive in the afternoon if you don't get intentional about how you craft your day.
- Evening - This is the time for family, fun, and relaxation.
2. Weekly rhythms
- Day of rest - the importance of Sabbath
- PERSONAL time - half a day to a full day of taking care of personal errands and self-care
- Workweek - time allotted for high productivity and focus
