“The thief does not come except to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come (the Good Shepherd) that you might have life, and have it in super-abundance.” (Jn. 10:10)

Principles of “super-abundance”

1. A good Father (Mt. 7:11)

  1. “If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, HOW MUCH MORE will the heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him?” Matt 7:11.
  2. We must change our mentality to a good Father, not a stingy God. He is “El-Shaddai,” not “El-cheapo”!

2. A good Shepherd (Ps. 23)

  1. “The Lord is my Shepherd, I have all I need.” (v. 1). “He prepares a table before me…my cup overflows with blessings.” (v. 5). The is super-abundance, running to the floor.
  2. We must see ourselves as sheep in His pasture.

3. The giving of His Son (Rom. 8:32)

  1. “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, HOW WILL HE NOT also with him graciously give us ALL THINGS” (Rom 8:32)
  2. What you need is NOTHING compared to the cross.

4. Super-abundance in the wilderness (Ps. 78)

  1. “Yet he commanded the skies above and opened the doors of heaven, and he rained down on them manna to eat and gave them the grain of heaven. Man ate of the bread of the angels; he sent them food in  abundance”(v. 23)
  2. “He split the rocks in the wilderness and gave them abundant drink like the ocean depths” (v. 15, NASB).

5. Super-abundance in creation (Gen. 1)

  1. “And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
  2. God created this planet with no lack of super-abundant resources.

6. Super-abundance in sowing and reaping (2 Cor. 9)

  1. “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever” (2 Cor. 9:9).
  2. Joseph had super-abundant stores of grain that fed the entire world for seven years!

7. Super-abundance in the blessing of Abraham

  1. “Now Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.” (Gen. 13:2)
  2. Abram was not cursed, he was blessed. The blessing was upon all of his investments. Christ died on the cross to take your curse. Your finances are not cursed, they are blessed.
