• What does it mean to BE?
• The Bible says that to be finds its genesis in was, is, and is to come. It’s not an internal or external discovery, but rather the pursuit of being like the one who did it right. Be like Christ. 

From the CROWD to COMMITTED

Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “For many are called, but few are chosen.” ‭‭

#1 BE: who you are

Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬ ”And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.“ 

Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭49‬-‭52‬ ‭NLT‬‬ ”“But why did you need to search?” he asked. “Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?” But they didn’t understand what he meant. Then he returned to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. And his mother stored all these things in her heart. Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.“ 

Rooted in the basics; prayer, Bible, etc.

• CULTURAL AWARENESS; understanding the time he lived in, in the culture that was changing rapidly.
  • Functioned in the midst of royalty, Romans, religious people, and common people
• PERSONAL WHOLENESS; grow in a holistic approach.
• Grow in Calling (pursuing a clearer view and understanding of what God has called you to)
• Grow in Character (having integrity, humility, and maturity = level of responsibility)
• Grow in Competency (growing gifts and skills)
• Grow in Confidence (getting outside comfort zone, teaching these goals to their peers)
