God's Art Gallery

Bgroup Lesson Part 7 of 12

Have you ever been to an art gallery? The beauty is revealed in every detail and brushstroke as an artist's painting comes to life. God is the greatest artist and His beauty displayed here on earth can be seen in and through us, His church. God uses us to communicate His creativity and wisdom to others.

Key Scripture:
Ephesians 3:10-11 "10 God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11 This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord."

The scripture gives us a picture of God’s purpose for us as His children. What a humbling thought that we would be used to display aspects of God’s nature to the world.

Let's look at 3 pictures of God’s design displayed through us:

1. His Wisdom

God looks at us as His display of wisdom here on earth. God desires to give you an unexplained wisdom that displays His power in the earth. When the world encounters us they shouldn’t see chaos and turmoil but order and peace. This is the fruit of God’s wisdom.

Question: Since you have become a believer, how have you witnessed God’s wisdom in your life? Have there been moments you feel like he has displayed his wisdom through you? We will pray about this at the end, but do you need wisdom in an area of your life right now?

2. His Unity

It is a privilege and an honor to be a part of a church filled with a rich history of diversity throughout the years. It has been said that Bethany looks a lot like heaven. We should all desire to become a magnet that draws people of every race and background to Jesus!

Question: How can we actively promote unity and harmony in our interactions with others? How has your involvement in a community like Bethany influenced the diversity of your own life?

3. His Love

God’s love for us is limitless! Ephesians 3:17 tells us to let our roots grow down into God’s love so that we will remain strong. If you are rooted in anything other than His love eventually you will be uprooted. His love is the only thing that will remain. We can’t rely on being good enough or smart enough. It is actually a relief to know that all we have to do is focus on understanding how much God truly loves us and then go tell the world!

Question: As a picture of God’s love, how can we continually cultivate this love toward others in our families, workplaces, and throughout our communities? Do you know about Love LA at the end of this month?

Conclusion

As God’s incredible masterpiece we get to display His power at work here on earth. God will continue to creatively communicate His character and wisdom for the world to see and we get to be a part of His great design. What a beautiful thought to leave you with - we are God’s poem to the world around us!
